Works Cited

Welcome to another one of my blogs. This weekend I was able to get some extra hours of sleep as I stated in my last blog in which I went over how lucky I was to get some extra hours of sleep and how my body reacted towards it. But this week I was extremely busy which is good, staying busy lets me know I'm being productive instead of just staying at home doing nothing. This Sunday I wrote an essay. I have been having trouble with my essay and finding a great source or sources that give sufficient amount of information about my topic. Lately I have been struggling trying to structure my essay in the right way and put everything that my professor wants into the essay. This weekend I just decided to change the topic and rewrite a whole essay, yes I'm sure it took more work than to just revise my old essay but I feel more confident about my new topic and essay. Finding a source for my old topic was extremely difficult and finding an article written by an author instead of a Olympic lifter also was a headache. With my new topic and sources I found, I've found varies articles and opinions on the issue/topic. With significant amounts of websites and articles on the internet it can be difficult to find a source that contains the information you need specifically along with the article being a valid article meaning it has an author, date, publisher, and etc. I spent my Sunday afternoon googling a lot of information on my new topic which is definitely interesting to me and was able to get what I needed done! Thanks for reading my blog!

Sleep schedule

Welcome to another one of my blog posts! This is my second semester of college. In my first semester I wrote about time management and my sleeping schedule as I'm sure so did other freshman. What is weird or to me at least is how your body responds to it. For example today I got to sleep in and wake up at 6:45am I usually wake up at 4:45 every day. I know I got a lot of sleep compared to how much I usually get but my body responded differently and my body felt way more fatigue when I woke up. But later I felt extremely energized in the classroom and didn't feel tired how I usually feel which I found was really funny and weird. Also, I was able to concentrate more which I found extremely beneficial. I felt more alert and feel as if I grasped more of the material my professors where teaching. Through an extra 2 hours of sleep/rest I felt made a significant difference on how I went on about school and handled or have handled my day so far. This day through off my schedule a bit because once I woke up I would usually already be headed to school so it felt a bit weird. My whole schedule was off until I got to school then it felt normal. Also I had a big breakfast which I felt like was a factor in my ability to engage in class activity and follow what my professor is instructing. I would encourage everybody to at least get 7 hours of sleep. I have found that as a college student whose life consists of running around and being in a hurry you should reward yourself with a good nights sleep and occasionally a power nap if possible. Share comments or just feedback in general on your guys' thoughts thanks again!!

Spring Break

Good afternoon and thanks for deciding to read my blog post. This spring break was definitely something I needed but at the same time didn't. It felt kind of weird having a break and not doing anything scholastically. I would catch myself checking mycsustan and blackboard for notifications just in case something was due or something came up for a certain class. It turnes out that I go back to school today and in English my professor graded our second essay and gave his feedback on it. This hyped me up a bit because I know this essay is something that I'm struggling with and finding specific sources that go and relate to the structure of the paper. I mentally know that ehat my teacher is asking for isn't difficult nor impossible but I keep having a hard time finding information and formatting my paper correctly. In a way its stressful but not at the same time. After a while of thinking about the topic and speaking with my professor I believe I'm gonna go to the tutoring center and ask for help. I mean why not..thats what they get paid for and I think ill benefit from the experience and learn something new along with asking help from my professor.
